Dwayne Takeno

Audit Principal, CPA, CGMA

As the leader of the Audit Division, Dwayne drives client relationship management, audit planning and strategy, quality control, and the development of our future firm leaders. He envisions N&K as a leader in innovation and new technology and a place for future leaders living in a healthy work-life balance for long-term success and impact. He defines leadership as fostering a collaborative, growth-oriented environment, empowering people, promoting continuous learning, ensuring open communication, and recognizing the contributions of all team members.

Dwayne graduated from Castle High School and earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Southern California. He went on to earn a Master of Business Administration from the University of Hawaii at Manoa, is a Certified Public Accountant in the state of Hawaii, and a Chartered Global Management Accountant. Dwayne joined N&K in 2014 as an Audit Principal.

His community and industry involvements include the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Hawaii Society of Certified Public Accountants, CPAmerica, Association of Government Accountants Hawaii Chapter (Board Member), and the Lanakila Pacific Foundation (former Treasurer).
